Iowa ASCD Appreciates Your Years of Service and Commitment to Education in Iowa
We want to take this opportunity to celebrate and congratulate both Kevin Vidergar on his retirement from serving in our Iowa school districts as well as on the Iowa ASCD Board of Directors. We also want to take this opportunity to celebrate Dr. Susan Pecinovsky on their retirement from the Iowa ASCD Board of Directors.
You have both served tirelessly and provided excellent support to Curriculum Leaders, Administrators, and Teachers across the state of Iowa! Your influence and impact can be seen in the lives of the learners and leaders we have touched throughout the years! We are extremely grateful that Dr. Pecinovsky will be serving during this coming fall semester to mentor our Mental Health committee.
We wish you both the very best in the coming years and hope our appreciation for all that you have done in service to the Iowa ASCD Board of Directors is felt and remembered for a long time to come!

A NEW ERA OF EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN IOWA!
ISTE + ASCD Merger Impacts State Affiliates
Last year, when the merger of the national organizations of ISTE and ASCD came about, each of the ASCD and ISTE affiliate members were notified that we would need to begin to plan to remove those titles from our names, websites, and communications. We are an official Partner of ISTE + ASCD and look forward to the opportunities that partnership provides!
As a result, we will be working in these coming months to reveal a New Name and a New Logo while improving our focus on supporting Educational Leaders in Iowa with New Opportunities and Support!
We believe these changes will give us a chance to reflect on, improve and extend our partnerships and support for Leaders of Teachers and Learning across Iowa! We hope that you will join us on this adventure into a future we know will be filled with so many rapidly changing influences that impact educational leaders, teachers/staff, learners, and communities in ways we have never seen before.
