Warm Greetings Families,

Important Announcements
- Encourage daily reading: Please help your child practice reading every day. A short, consistent routine builds fluency and confidence.
- Suggested routine: 10–20 minutes of reading in the morning and 10–20 minutes before bedtime.
- Morning & bedtime routines: Keeping consistent wake-up and sleep routines supports learning readiness and emotional well-being.
- Action step: Choose one small habit to add this week (e.g., laying out clothes the night before, a 5-minute calm-down time before bed).
- Upcoming schedule:
- School will be in session this Monday and Tuesday only.
- Thanksgiving break follows; school will resume on Monday, December 1.
- Please mark your calendars and make travel/childcare plans accordingly.
Celebrations from the Week
- Thanksgiving and gratitude: We’re already at the end of November — a perfect time to celebrate gratitude. There are so many things to be thankful for in our school community.
- Quick highlights:
- Kind acts around campus — students have shown caring and respect for one another.
- Engaged classrooms — teachers reported lively discussions and strong participation this week.
- Community partnerships — our Woods Lake staff is so appreciative of the support from families and community partners that helps make learning richer.
- We are grateful for the daily moments — big and small — that make our school a warm, nurturing place for children to learn.
Additional Information
- Communication: If you need support, have questions about routines, or want resources for at-home reading, please reach out to your child’s teacher. We’re here to help.
- Volunteer & partner opportunities: We welcome family and community involvement. If you’re interested in volunteering or connecting us with local partners, please contact our PTO.
- Health & safety reminders: Continue to keep your child home if they are unwell and inform the office about absences so we can support catching up on missed learning.
We are grateful for your ongoing support in building strong morning and bedtime routines and for keeping reading a joyful part of each day. Your partnership makes a meaningful difference for every student.
Thank you for your continued partnership and care. We look forward to seeing our students back on Monday, December 1, refreshed and ready to learn together.
With gratitude,
Ms. Prather
