Dear JAC Families,
We had a great week at JAC! Many thanks to Mrs. Mandile, the Parent Volunteers, and JAC Staff for a fabulous Field Day. We enjoyed all the stations, especially the water stations and misters. DJ Mike did a fantastic job keeping us on track and played a wide variety of music to keep us energized.
We ended the week with the WA Seniors visiting in their cap and gowns. They enjoyed a spirited parade through JAC with cheers, pom-poms, bells ringing, and congratulation signs. A very special day for all!
Enjoy the weekend,
Ms. Kennelly and Ms. Holmgren
Spirit Coupons:
We made a positive SPIRIT Call this week for:
- A 3rd grader went above and beyond to make sure all students feel included and successful at field day. She gently helped a student who needed a little extra help! The same student let a friend go first at the water station at field day. She said "you can go first, I know you are excited to do this station" since he had been talking about it all day.
- Two 3rd grade students cleaned up after other students during the end of recess.
- Two more 3rd grade students gave another student their own eraser and toy because they noticed he liked playing with them.
- During field day, a 3rd grade student was very inclusive of all students. She went out of her way to make everyone feel included and proud.
- A 5th grade student showed both safety and teamwork this morning when there was a big spill in the hallway outside his classroom. Not only did he help clean it up but he also made sure no one slipped by having them walk around it. And it wasn't even his spill!
