At Home Learning and FREE Apps

Our teachers will continue to share optional at home ideas and resources for students. You'll notice that the ideas will not fill up a "full in-school day." That's okay! I encourage each of your households to make the day work for you. You may find yourself spend 2-40 minutes a day on reading and 20-40 minutes a day on math. THAT'S OKAY! Some of you may have chosen to take a snow day yesterday! And that's okay too!!

Let's all just agree to do the best we can!

Many of us have downloaded Apps that on a normal basis may come with a monthly membership fee. I encourage everyone to be aware when the "free membership" expires. I also encourage you to add those date into your personal calendar so that if you intend to cancel them, you don't miss the deadline. Some of these apps have a hefty monthly fee!

Pop-Up Parade

I think it is safe to say that the Hunter Pop-Up Parade was heartwarming for all who were able to witness it. A huge thank-you goes out to all our teachers who helped make it happen. Families thank you for the signs and all the waves and smiles. It was awesome to see our Hunter Community coming together in these uncertain times.

Meals Available and Thank You Food Service

There are not words to express our sincere thanks to the Gibraltar Food Service Staff and Transporation Staff who are helping make sure we pack and hand out many meals for our students each week. While many are forced to work less hours, they are working more hours to ensure we have what we need for our families. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Meals will continue to be available on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:00-3:00pm (or until we run out) in the Shumate Middle School parking lot.

Spirit Week

We have a few more days left of spirit week! Feel free to join in on the fun virtually and make sure to tag us in your pictures!

Wednesday March 25: Mismatch Day

Thursday March 26: Wear Purple for Epilepsy

Friday March 27: Read My Shirt Day

The POSITIVE social media presence from the Hunter Community right now is amazing. When I see the photos and video of our staff, students and families I can't help but think how we are positively impacting the "news feeds," of SO MANY!!
