Read Across the District will be held on Wednesday, September 9th from 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Guerrero 2026-2027 Parent and Student Handbook
TIMES TO KEEP IN MIND:
- 7:30-8:00 - Breakfast in the cafeteria for all PK3, PK4, Kindergarten and 1st grade students.
- 7:55 - First Bell - students should line up / teachers will pick up from the blacktop / cafeteria.
- 8:00 a.m. – Students should be walking to class at this time. All 2nd - 5th grade students have the option of having breakfast in the classroom free of charge.
- 8:15 a.m. – All students who are not in the classroom at 8:15 a.m. when the tardy bell rings must report to the front office for a tardy slip. Students in PK3-1 should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- 10:00 a.m. – A student not seated in a class at 10:00 a.m. will be marked absent for the day (students who come to school after 10:00 a.m. with a medical note will be excused).
- Written documentation is needed for absences - phone calls do not count as documentation.
- Please submit documentation upon the student’s return after an absence (within 5 days of the absence). The campus will update attendance records based on the documentation provided.

2026 - 2027 EPISD Elementary School Dress Code
Guerrero Elementary will continue to be a non-uniform campus. We will continue to follow guidelines sent out by EPISD and will not require uniforms.
