What is Special Education Connections?
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! We are thrilled to have your children back in our classrooms and are excited for the year ahead. Whether your child is returning or joining us for the first time, we are committed to providing them with a supportive and engaging learning environment. We believe this year will be filled with growth, new experiences, and opportunities for success.
As we embark on this journey together, we encourage open communication and partnership with you throughout the year. Your involvement and support play a crucial role in your child’s education, and we look forward to working closely with you to ensure your children have an amazing school experience.
Special Education Website
We are delighted to share that, in partnership with our CAC parent representative, we have enhanced our website to better serve our parent community. This collaboration has led to the development of several new resources, including the newly developed Parent Handbook, which offers essential information about special education services and procedures. We invite you to explore these updated resources by visiting our website here at your convenience.
Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
A Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is made up of parents, educators, and community members who are involved in special education. The CAC of the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE) provides meetings and special events throughout the year and advises the superintendents of the 14 school districts about special education services. Each meeting includes information on a special education topic, resources for families, and opportunities to meet with other parents to exchange resources, information, and ideas.
