Our 8th graders had an unforgettable adventure in Washington, DC! From walking through history at Mt. Vernon to exploring various memorials, students connected classroom learning to real-life experiences. The trip was packed with learning, relationship building, and memorable moments.
Students Connecting Students
Our very own OHS SCS (Students Connecting Students) returned to the middle school to help students connect with each other and build strong relationships. This partnership helps support our Bully Prevention program utilized in advisory called OLWEUS. The Olweus Program is a comprehensive, schoolwide initiative proven to reduce bullying and improve peer relationships in K-12 schools. By creating a safer, more positive environment, it has helped thousands of schools worldwide foster better social climates and decrease antisocial behaviors.
Wildcat Remembrance Day
Sunday, November 30, 2025, is Wildcat Remembrance Day. We recognize that healing is a long and complex journey, and the well-being of our school community remains a core focus. We encourage you to spend this day in whatever way feels appropriate for your family.
Again this year, as a community, we plan to come together in two meaningful ways:
Moment of Silence at 12:51 p.m.
Wherever you are, we invite you to join us in a moment of silence.
Lighting of Luminaries at 7 p.m.
We invite the community to light luminaries as a symbol of love and remembrance. Luminaries were available for students and staff at their schools, or families may use any light to take part in this shared moment.
Please note that Oxford High School and its parking areas will remain closed that day.
As always, please reach out to your child’s teacher, principal, or a family-school liaison if you or your child need support.

Blue arrows indicate the drop-off zone for students.
When you pull into the blue arrow drop-off zone, please pull as far ahead as possible before having your student exit the vehicle.

If you elect to walk your student(s) to the building entrance, please park in an empty space and walk your student to the sidewalk. You will need to re-enter the traffic flow in the yellow arrow section.
