October Is National Bullying Prevention Month
Osgood is committed to a safe, respectful, and responsible community every day, and October gives us a chance to set an important tone for the whole year. As a show of that commitment, we'll participate with the other CPS schools in Unity Day on October 22nd. This is a day when we can come together to send a visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. We will be partnering with Deer Hill for some unity work. We encourage everyone to wear orange on this day!
Cradles to Crayons
Trunk or Treat is Friday!
It’s that time of year again... pumpkins, costumes, and lots of fun! We’re thrilled to invite you to the annual Osgood Trunk or Treat - happening right in the Osgood parking lot on Friday, October 23rd from 4:30–5:30pm (rain date October 24).
This spook-tacular event is one of our favorite fall traditions, and we can’t wait to see our community come together for another year of festive fun! 🎃🍂👻
To ensure the event runs smoothly and safely for everyone, please keep the following logistics in mind:
- Parking & Traffic Safety: The bus loop will remain open only for families enrolled in the After School Program. All other families attending Trunk or Treat are asked to park down at Deer Hill and walk over to help minimize traffic and keep our students safe.
- Playground Availability: The playground will be closed to Trunk or Treat attendees, as it is reserved exclusively for the After School Program.
- Parent Supervision: Please remember that children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times during the event.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us host a safe, enjoyable event for all of our students!
Thank you, Principal Mac, for holding down the fort on Friday!
Principal Mac won the privilege of taking over my job on Friday! He did walked campus, making sure students were respectful, responsible, and safe. He did teacher observations and provided feedback. There was plenty of work to do with announcements and calls on the walkie talkie as well.
Thank you, Principal Mac, for your hard work and for securing the winning bid for the job through the CEF auction!
Safe Snacks
For the safety of all students, please use this list to choose snacks that are allowed at the Osgood School. Students eat snacks in their classrooms and we want to be sure to keep everyone safe from allergens in their classroom.
Please pack your child's snack separate from their lunch. We have accommodations for allergens in the cafeteria, so families may pack anything you like for lunch.
Free and Reduced Lunch and South Shore Backpackers
Please review this letter from Dr. Shannon regarding important resources for Cohasset families.
School Lunch Information
Here is a link to the Cohasset Public Schools Food Services page. It has information about free school lunch and breakfast. The menus are updated!
Transportation
For information regarding school transportation, please visit the transportation page on the new CPS website. All students must be registered through transportation to ride the bus. However, buses are full at this time and they are placing students on wait lists.
Resources for Families Who Receive SNAP Benefits
