Dear Onahan Community,
RETURN TO SCHOOL - JANUARY 6TH
REMINDER: Monday, January 5th, is a School Improvement Day and not a school day for students. Also, the school is closed over winter break.
GRIEF CAN BE REAL OVER THE HOLIDAYS
HERE IS A RESOURCE
Our counselor, Ms. Allison Ramirez, passed this resource on to me, and may be helpful when the holidays are not "the best time of the year". This pre-recorded webinar from Rooster & Hen Resources, talks about creative support ideas to help kids and families who are grieving over the holidays. It is a space to share simple, artful activities and rituals to honor the memory and story of loved ones who may be missing from the holiday celebrations.
Play from 27:08 for section on Kids' Grief Over the Holidays.
