Federal Impact Aid Forms
On October 15, 2026, Northern Burlington will electronically solicit the US Department of Education's Federal Impact Aid Student-Parent Survey Form for the 2026-2027 School Year. This form is available through PowerSchool’s parent portal. This survey is important and determines the amount of Federal Impact Aid the district receives. Consequently, this form, one for each student, needs to be completed and submitted by you (student’s parent/guardian/sponsor) by Friday, October 30, 2026.
Beginning on October 15, 2026, you will not be able to access your child(ren)’s grades until the survey form is completed. Please keep an eye out for this electronic survey form on October 15th. Thank you!
Parent Conferences
Parent Conferences are scheduled for November 12 and 13.
November 12 (in person, only) 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
November 13 (virtual, only) 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm
To sign up for conferences, click HERE to go to the document listing the appointment links for the teachers. We will be using Google Calendar to set up appointments. Please be sure your computer is set to Eastern Standard Time to ensure the time you select is coordinated with our schedule.
If there are no appointments listed for a particular teacher, then all the appointments have been filled. Feel free to contact the teacher by email if you have questions about your child’s progress in the class or reach out to your child’s counselor to set up a conference at a later date.
You should receive an email confirmation after booking your appointment(s). In that confirmation, you will find links to join virtual appointments or room numbers for in-person conferences. This is also where you can cancel appointments should your availability change.
Health Reminders and Attendance Policy
As we navigate the school year, we want to share a gentle reminder about keeping our students healthy and thriving.
If your child has a fever or is feeling unwell, please keep them home to rest and recover. Keeping a sick child home helps them heal faster and protects the health of our entire school community. While the school does not directly excuse daily absences with doctor's notes, we highly encourage you to save all medical documentation. Keeping these notes on hand provides excellent support for your student if they ever need to request an attendance appeal later in the year.
Partnering for Your Student's Academic Success
We want to ensure every student receives full credit for their hard work. To help your student stay on track and protect their course credits, please keep these helpful attendance milestones in mind throughout the year:
- Full-Year Courses: Students secure their course credits by staying within 18 unexcused absences.
- Semester Courses: Students keep their credits on track by staying within 9 unexcused absences.
- Quarter Classes: Students protect their credits by staying within 5 unexcused absences.
Maintaining strong attendance ensures that your student's excellent classroom grades count toward their academic goals.
If you have any questions about tracking your child's attendance or navigating the appeal process, please reach out to the main office. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our school safe, healthy, and successful!

“Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there.” -Deepak Chopra
In an 8-minute guided meditation, Deepak Chopra encourages you to ask yourself, “Who am I?” in a non-judgmental way and shed any roles, physical thoughts about our bodies and try to focus on just being and existing. Meditation specifically helps teens lower stress, improve focus, and manage emotions by physically changing the brain. Regular practice calms the amygdala (the brain's fear and stress center) and strengthens the prefrontal cortex, which supports better decision-making, impulse control, and academic performance. For adults it lowers stress and cortisol levels, reduces anxiety and depression, increases focus and memory as well as sleep.
In this meditation you start with saying your full name, I am __________. You can include any roles you feel you fulfill that are part of your identity and then with each breath, you drop one until you work your way to just “I am.” Chopra’s “I am” meditation is on YouTube if it is easier to watch and follow along. Give it a try.

Winter Sports Registration Open
To All Student-Athletes, Parents and Guardians:
Northern Burlington County Regional School District's Athletic Department has opened its High School and Middle School Winter Athletic Registration. Registration will be open and available from September 14 through December 11th, 2026.
It’s important to know that our registration platform has transitioned to Bound. As a result, all previous Arbiter accounts are no longer active. Families must create a NEW Bound Account to complete registration.
Please note:
You must complete the entire registration process on Bound to be registered for a sport. Middle school students are only eligible for Middle School Sports. Even if your student played a Fall sport, you must log in and complete the registration steps for Winter sports, confirming all documentation and electronic signatures are in order. Once submitted, it may take 7-10 business days to become cleared for an activity. Registering does not mean you are ready to play. Please keep in mind that middle school basketball has tryouts in early November. Students must be cleared in order to try out, and students who are not cleared to try out will not make the team.
A physical is valid for 365 days prior to the first day of the sport/tryouts. If your student’s physical is greater than one year old from the start date of the desired sport, you will need to schedule an appointment and have your doctor complete the required Preparticipation Medical Eligibility form in its entirety.
Registration is not complete or eligible for review until you receive an email that states such. Your student is not cleared to participate until you receive an email that states such.
One additional update on registering for winter sports:
If you registered for sports and activities in our Bound portal before September 29, please log into your family Bound account again and complete the Registration Health History Questionnaire as soon as possible. This form was not available during registration between those dates and is required for your student to be eligible for processing by the district health care team . Your student cannot be cleared to participate in any athletics or other activities if this form is not completed.
Click BOUND
To access the new Health History Questionnaire please follow these steps:
Go to your family dashboard on BOUND
On the left-hand side under the word Family, find the "Organizations" button and click the dropdown menu.
This will allow you to see every student you have a Bound account for. Click the "Northern Burlington" under the desired student, and it will take you to their Overview page.
Once here, click the tab named "Registrations" near the top of the screen.
Once here, click the button (it will be a yellow or green button) to the left of the registered sport. From here you can answer the questionnaire, click Save, and then exit the questionnaire. Please be sure to do this for every student you have registered for a sport.
If you have any questions regarding the registration process or the forms, the best way for parents to reach out to our support team is by either clicking the teal B button in the bottom right-hand corner of the web browser/app or they can reach out to our team at support@gobound.com.
If you have any questions regarding physicals, physical dates, or the State’s Health History Update Questionnaire, please email Michele O’Neill at moneill@nburlington.com
Additional information and tryout dates will be communicated by coaches. We are looking forward to welcoming our Winter Athletes and working with all of you this upcoming season!!
Thank you,
Frank Corigliano

ATHLETIC STADIUM RULES:
- ALL Middle and Elementary School level students must be accompanied by a parent throughout the entirety of the game.
- Students are not permitted to stay after school to attend athletic events. As we encourage them to support their friends and classmates, they must go home and come back. They are not permitted to loiter after school unsupervised.
- No backpacks or large bags are permitted into the stadium during athletic events.
- There is NO readmittance at the football games. If you leave the stadium, you WILL NOT be allowed back in.
Turf Field
Thank you to our community to support our state-of-the-art turf field. The field has already been essential to the success of our athletic teams at Northern. This is a massive upgrade for all of us, and we cannot wait to see everyone out there staying active and making memories.
This field is a major investment in our community’s future. To keep it looking pristine and performing at its best for years to come, we need everyone’s help! Protect our field by following the Rules of the Turf:
🚫 No Gum, Seeds, or Food: Shelled snacks (like sunflower seeds) and gum ruin the turf fibers and infill.
🚫 No Sugary Drinks: Water only! Spills attract pests and create sticky, unmanageable patches.
🚫 No Metal Cleats: Please wear molded cleats, turf shoes, or sneakers to avoid tearing the backing.
🚫 No Pets or Vehicles: Keep our furry friends and wheeled items (bikes, scooters) outside the fence.
🗑️ Nothing left behind: Use the trash cans provided and leave the field cleaner than you found it.
Let's work together to protect this incredible asset so our community can enjoy it for a long time to come. Tag your teammates, grab your water bottles, and we'll see you on the field! 🙌⚽🏈
🥗🍕 TIME TO EAT!
Breakfast
Breakfast will be available for students every day in the Main Cafeteria from 6:45 am - 7:15 am. Grab-and-go breakfast will be available from 7:20 am- 7:30 am, and can only be purchased after checking into their homeroom and receiving a pass from their teacher. The cost for breakfast is $2.75 for a breakfast bundle, which will include a grain and/ or protein, a fruit, and a milk. This will be the free/reduced option and will also be available for purchase. À la carte items are available for purchase as well.
Lunch & Opportunity Period:
Similar to last year, we are excited to have all students eating lunch during the opportunity period. This will allow students time to relax with peers, receive extra support from teachers, and participate in meetings and activities.
Students will have the opportunity to choose the location where they will eat lunch and spend the remainder of their time. The time will be split into two 34-minute sections. Students can choose a location for each section.
We have four locations where students can buy lunch: West Cafe, East Cafe, Main Cafe, and the kiosk located outside West Gym.
Students can participate in activities, tutoring, and athletics during the opportunity period as well as sit in the cafeteria, lunch, and patio locations. Please look at the options here with your student and discuss where they may spend their time. Activities are rotated at each marking period.
We encourage all parents and guardians to complete a new 2026-2027 Application for
Free and Reduced Price School Meals prior to the first day of school.
The application can be found on our webpage under parent/student resources and at this LINK.
The cost for a regular school lunch is $3.75, and a premium lunch is $4.00. Students will use their school ID to move through the lunch line. Parents are welcome to establish an online lunch account through the lunchtime parent portal found under Food Services on the parent/student page and at this Acct Link.
