Principal's Message Principal's Message

To help make sure everything runs smoothly for our students and families, I wanted to take a moment to review a few important details about our daily routines.

EARLY PICKUP/LATE DROP OFF REMINDERS

  • LATE ARRIVAL

    • If you arrive after the 7:45am late bell, please bring your child into the building. For safety reasons, please do not drop your child off and leave the campus without checking in at the office.

    • Please scan your child’s student ID tag with the scanner in the lobby to check-in.

  • EARLY PICK-UP

    • Students must be picked up no later than 2pm to avoid dismissal and bus congestion. We appreciate your cooperation with this important matter.

NOTES FROM HOME/DR. NOTES

  • Please continue to use the yellow note pads when sending communication to school for your child’s teacher.

    • Please contact the office if you need more.

  • Please remember to send notes for any absences as well. Most doctor and dental offices will provide a note for visits if you request it. Notes are required for absences to be coded as lawful.

ABSENCES

  • Attendance calls will continue to be sent out every day for students that are not in school. Please remember to communicate with your child’s teacher regarding the absence.

  • Attendance letters will be sent out monthly after absences have reached six or more.

  • After a student has missed 12 days of school a doctor’s note is required for any future absences.

From the Counselor From the Counselor

Each month all students receive a 50 minute school counseling lesson in class. This month in school counseling lessons, students learned about the difference between being mean and bullying. We discussed how mean behavior can happen occasionally, while bullying is repeated, intentional, and involves an imbalance of power. Students practiced identifying each situation and explored positive ways to respond—whether by using kind words, standing up safely, or seeking help from a trusted adult. I always encourage the students to share their learning at home!

We are excited to share some great news. Our brand-new Clear Spring Elementary School website is now live!

On the site, you’ll find event announcements, newsletters from both the PTA and the school, links to our social media pages, and much more, all in one convenient place.

A huge thank-you goes out to Mrs. Boyer for her hard work and dedication in bringing this project to life. We’re so grateful for the time and care she put into creating a site that helps keep our school community connected and informed.
