Congratulations to our Students of the Month! We recognized five outstanding students as Students of the Month last Wednesday at our Homeroom Assembly. These students were chosen by their teachers for exhibiting our Benton P.R.I.D. E. characteristics of Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence. During our Homeroom Assembly, we also recognized students for Outstanding and Exceptional Citizenship. Students with Outstanding Citizenship received 4 Os in their classes; students with Exceptional Citizenship earned 5 or more Os in their classes. Well done! Students were also recognized for Perfect Attendance for the month of September. School attendance is critical, if students aren't here, they aren't learning. Thank you parents, for ensuring that your students are here every day, all day, and on time. Attendance matters!

Congratulations to Benton Athletes for winning their first Flag Football and Volleyball scrimmage games last week. More important than winning, the Waite Principal commented specifically on the good sportsmanship Benton displayed making the games an enjoyable experience for her students despite their loss. Thank you for your good sportsmanship, grace with winning, and demonstrating Benton P.R.I.D.E. I am very proud of our Benton athletes!

Are you interested in volunteering around Benton? Much of the Volunteer work is coordinated through our PTSA. If you can help out, please complete this Volunteer Form... and thank you!

The Benton Yearbook needs your photos! Do you have any Back to School photos you would be willing to share with us? This includes photos you may have taken at home holding "1st Day of Middle School" type signs. If you would email a digital copy to me, that would be appreciated. We hope to create a collage of Back to School photos in our yearbook.

Make it a great week!
