5/23 Lions Pride ~ Orgullo de Leon

Estimadas familias de James John ES:

Nuestro Día de Campo de los Leones James John fue fantástico. Participaron muchos estudiantes felices. El Día de Campo de la mañana transcurrió sin contratiempos, mientras que los eventos de la tarde se vieron interrumpidos por un simulacro de incendio no programado. Fue una falsa alarma que será investigada por el departamento de instalaciones del distrito. La interrupción nos permitió practicar y nuestros estudiantes siguieron los protocolos de emergencia y se mantuvieron seguros durante todo el simulacro (Gracias a los padres que estuvieron presentes y ayudaron durante el simulacro). ¡Vamos Leones! Las festividades continuaron y todos los estudiantes estuvieron sanos y salvos.

Un gran rugido de león para todos los padres que se ofrecieron como voluntarios para que el Día de Campo de este año fuera un éxito. Y, por supuesto, un agradecimiento a nuestro Equipo de Enriquecimiento por organizar todos los eventos y un rugido de león especial para el entrenador Coleman.

El último día de la Escuela Sun será el próximo miércoles y el último día de tenis será el jueves. El viernes también será nuestra última Celebración del Estudiante del Mes del año... ¡Increíble! Pero no se pongan tristes porque terminaremos la semana, con nuestro Día del Cabello loco, seguido de nuestro Carnaval de Fin de Año de 4:30 a 7:00 p. m. ¡Qué semana tan emocionante nos espera!

También quería destacar un evento de PPS que se llevará a cabo el próximo sábado 31 de mayo en el edificio principal de nuestro distrito. PPS tendrá una conversación comunitaria sobre nuestro Modelo de Escuela de Vecindario y nuestras prácticas de inclusión para brindar un mejor apoyo a cada estudiante. Se incluyó un folleto en el boletín informativo de esta semana; se encuentra en nuestra sección de recursos comunitarios; siga desplazándose hacia abajo para obtener más información. Eso es todo por ahora.

Dear James John ES Families,

Our James John Lion’s Field Day was a blast. So many happy students participated. The morning Field Day went quite smoothly, while our afternoon events were interrupted by an unscheduled Fire Drill. It was a false alarm that will be looked into by district facilities. The interruption did provide us practice and our students followed our emergency protocols and stayed safe throughout the drill (Thank you to those parents who were here and helped during the drill). GO LIONS! The festivities continued and all students were safe and happy.

A BIG Lion Roar to all the parents that volunteered to help make this year’s Field Day a success. And of course, a thank you to our Enrichment Team for organizing all the events and a special Lion Roar for Coach Coleman.

The last day for Sun School will be next Wednesday and the last day for tennis will be Thursday. Friday will also be our last Student of Month Celebration for the year…WOW! But don’t be sad because we are going to end the week in style, with our Wild Hair Day followed by our End of the Year Carnival from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. What an exciting week ahead of us.

I also wanted to highlight a PPS event that is happening next Saturday May 31st, at our PPS main district building. PPS will be having a community conversation about our Neighborhood School Model and Inclusion practices to better support each and every student in our school. A flyer has been provided in this week’s newsletter, it is in our community resources section, keep scrolling down for more information. That is all for now.
