Redmen Review
December 5, 2025
Chilly Outside and Chili Inside
Culinary Arts students warmed up this week by creating chili recipies. Lessons included learning the history of the food and facts about beans, as well as comparing the prices of the different ingredients needed, and totaling up how much their batch of chili would cost. Thie highlight off the week was welcoming Mr. Bartlett into the kitchen lab to learn how he makes his chili!
Pictured above, Mr. Bartlett stirs all the canned goods that were opened by the Redmen Chefs and is explaining what the next steps will be. In the back ground, more Redmen chefs are keeping a watchful eye on the bacon that was also added to the chili. There was great teamwork by all to make this successful recipe!
Note from the Tech Department
Students: This is a friendly reminder to treat your Chromebooks like your pets. When the weather is below freezing, you need to make sure your Chromebook is in a warm environment. Please do not leave it out in the cold.
If it has been forgotten in the cold, please let it warm up for a few hours before turning it on, making sure all condensation has evaporated.

What kind of music do welders love?--Heavy metal!
Receiving a pat on the back from Ty for a job well done at the LATC weld-off is Tyler, accompanied by Bremer, Cody, Andrew, and Ryder. They were joined by Jeremias and Justin in making tool boxes as part of a day that included the welding competition, meeting potential employers, and touring Lake Area programs like Ag, Diesel Tech, Heavy Equipment Operators, and...of course...Welding!
