1. Volunteer Sign up's for AREA J are now posted! The UIL 6A Area J Marching Contest is a fundraiser that benefits all three high school band programs, and we need everyone helping us get these positions filled. Students are encouraged to sign up but will have specific restricted times so you can rehearse and participate in the contest. We rely a lot on the parents for this contest since we are not exhibition like MMI.
2. AREA J Schedule is now up but still tentative. View it HERE
****Students, You are allowed and encouraged to volunteer from 12:45pm- 4:45pm. Please do not volunteer before or after since we are active participants in this contest (not an exhibition like MMI)
3. Our next and final Stadium Rehearsal is on Monday October 26th, Same schedule and uniform expectation as all the others (weather permitting). The students do not have school on this day, so we will make adjustments on Thursday/Friday to make sure they have everything on the box trucks/semi for Monday afternoon when they meet us at the stadium!
4. It is that time of year again to sign up for Region Band Auditions! Our deadline for the students to sign up is FRIDAY NOVEMBER 6th so we have time to enter/pay before the region requires. Late entries require a higher fee, so please help us be accurate on our deadline. Below is a detailed entry information and link to the google form!
5. Schedule/Itinerary mania! Look ahead and see our list of itineraries for all our events coming in October and December. (Also attached on the band hub).
6. Our after school rehearsals for Sym 1 and Honors Band in prep for the Winter concert are now posted on the google calendar. Keep those in mind for scheduling purposes. They will serve as summative grades and are necessary since we do not have percussionist in those classes for the fall. These rehearsals ensure we are prepared as a full ensemble for the winter performance.

1. Entry Fee's are $16 per entry. You can check on Membership Toolkit to confirm if you paid this fee in your band fees. If you did not, you can pay their or you can bring check (written to McKinney Boyd Band boosters) or exact cash to the Band Hall to drop off in the booster box.
2. All Honors & Sym 1 woodwind/brass students have been entered. Check the list in the Band Hall to confirm your information. If you are percussion, check with Mr. G
3. If you are a 9th grader in Honors or Sym 1, you have been signed up for the 9th grade auditions. If you want to sign up for the upperclassmen auditions ALSO, please use the link below to sign up and make sure to account for that extra $16 for the audition.
4. If you are a Sym 2 or Concert Band student and want to audition, please use the link below to sign up.
All entries are due Friday November 6th!!
