Fall Family FUN Night

Dear Bluffsview Families,

Bluffsview Families,

Wow! Thursday night's Fall Family Fun Night was a BLAST! Thank you to PTA for making it happen and for all the time and energy they put into it. Thank you to our staff who came out to connect with students and families after a long week. Thank you to Mrs. Mott and her volunteers for getting Book Fair up and running early and to Mr. Greene and Mr. Dusty for helping to set up and clean up. It was a beautiful and memorable night! If you couldn't make it, we missed you! However, don't worry, we have our Bear Run, Winter Dance and our Spring Fling/Color Run coming up this year.

We hope this next week, you can come see us again. This time to connect specifically about your child(ren). Conferences are a great time to share how your child is feeling about school, hear about their progress and get your questions answered. Check out the "Stay Calm and Parent On" section below for tips on how to prepare so you can make the most of your time together. Thank you in advance for making time for this. If you aren't signed up yet, please call the office so we can help you.

Honored to be a Bear,

Julie L. Payne, Principal

PS- More Fall Fun on the Horizon!

Bear Run- October 28th at 5:30

Come one, come all! Many of our bears have been working hard at recess running or walking for Cross Country. All students and parents are invited to come run, jog or walk the Bear Run!

Fall Parade and Parties- October 30th at 1:30

Join us behind the school to watch your child parade in their costume! This is a fun fall tradition and you are welcome to join us. If the weather is bad, the kids will parade inside the school and parents will be able to view from the gym or cafeteria.

Keep Calm and Parent On!

Making the Most of Parent Teacher Conferences

Making the most of Parent Teacher Conference Time! We know time is our most valuable resource so we want to ensure that our time with you is as meaningful as possible. Please consider the following suggestions to help you prepare for your conference.

Prepare Questions: Come with a list of questions or topics you'd like to discuss. This ensures that you cover all the important aspects of your child's education.
Be Punctual: Arriving on time helps the conference run smoothly and ensures you have ample time to talk.
Listen Actively: While it's essential to share your thoughts and concerns, don't forget to actively listen to the teacher's insights and recommendations.
Set Goals: Work with the teacher to set specific goals for your child. These goals can be academic, behavioral or social.
Stay Positive: Approach the conference with a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate. Remember, both you and the teacher have your child's best interests at heart.

Bluffsview Bears Cross Country Program

We are excited for another year of our Bluffsview Bears Cross Country program. We will be running on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday! All students who are interested in running or walking laps on a determined course on the playground on scheduled “Bears Running” days will be able to track their amount of laps across the “season” of recess running. They will earn small reward shoe tokens when having reached various mileage marks over the course of the season. We will also participate in optional races hosted by other Worthington Elementary schools throughout the fall. For more information check out our website and our Facebook page.
