Happy Sunday, Pirates!

It was another wonderful week at Swansboro High School, filled with active learning, fun field trips, exciting athletic contests, and our third annual Seaside Band Competition. Congratulations to Ms. Graham and our Marching Pirates for hosting visiting bands and providing a beautiful day of musical performances.

Congratulations to Arabella Molfetto for qualifying for the women’s state golf championship at regionals. At the cross-country conference tournament, our women’s team placed second, and our men’s team placed third. Emma Sanders also placed second in the women’s race. Volleyball dominated Harnett Central and Southern Lee in the second and third rounds of playoffs before falling to J.H. Rose in the fourth round on Saturday. Congratulations to our cheerleaders, who placed second in the conference competition on Saturday. Both JV and varsity soccer defeated Northside.

This week in athletics begins with the state golf championship on Monday. Soccer will host West Carteret on Tuesday, followed by the winter sportsmanship meeting on Wednesday. JV football will travel to Richlands on Thursday, and varsity football will host Richlands on Friday. Cross-country will compete in the regional meet at Red Oak Middle School on Saturday.

Other events this week include our Project Graduation parent meeting on Monday at 6:00 p.m. Interim reports will go home on Tuesday, and our fall orchestra concert will be held Tuesday evening. The dental clinic will be offered during the school day on Thursday, followed by our National Honor Society induction that evening. On Saturday, our Marching Pirates will compete in the Havelock competition.

Looking ahead, make-up school photos will be offered on Monday, November 2, 2026. The Swansboro High School Century Club is seeking board members. The board supports athletic programs at both Swansboro Middle School and Swansboro High School. If you are interested in serving our community in this capacity, please contact the school office.
