🎉 Walnut Hills Elementary – Back to School Night! 🎉

Join us for Back-to-School Night as we kick off an exciting year at Walnut Hills! Classroom teachers will share important information about the learning experiences, expectations, and opportunities your child will have this year. Each session will begin in the gym, where Principal Williams will highlight our school’s goals, focus areas, and vision for the year ahead. We look forward to connecting with families and starting the year together on a strong note!.

📋 Evening Schedule

⏰ 5:40–6:00 PM – Student Check-In #1
Families may drop children for outdoor care while you enjoy the evening.

🎤 6:00–6:15 PM – Principal’s Address #1 (Gym)
Principal Williams kicks off the night with a warm welcome and school updates!

🏫 6:20–6:50 PM – Classroom Session #1

⏰ 6:20–6:35 PM – Student Check-In #2
For families arriving for session #2 ONLY.

🎤 6:35–6:50 PM – Principal’s Address #2 (Gym)
A second opportunity to hear from Principal Williams.

Same information but for families with multiple children or families cannot attend session #1.

Many of our parents find that this is a great way to help because it fits naturally into their daily routine especially if you’re already at school for morning drop-off or afternoon pickup. It’s a rewarding way to give back, connect with our school community, and help make sure our students get to and from school safely.

We’d love to have you! If you’re interested in volunteering as a crossing guard, please call our front office at 720-554-3800 to learn more!

As a reminder, Cougar Club is required to follow specific policies regarding students who attend afterschool activities. If your child will be attending Cougar Club after an afterschool club or activity, a Non-Program Activity Permission Form must be completed and submitted in advance.

Please note that if we do not have a completed form on file, we will not be able to allow your child to attend their activity until the form has been submitted.

Important Reminder About the Permission Form:

• One form is required for each student.

• One form is required for each afterschool club/activity.

• If you have multiple children attending Cougar Club after clubs, each child will need their own form.

• If your child participates in more than one afterschool activity, a separate form must be completed for each activity.

Thank you for helping us make sure we have all of the required documentation in place and that we can continue providing a safe and smooth transition for all of our students.

Just a quick reminder that Cougar Club will be closed on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

Back-to-School Night is Thursday, Sept. 3! Make dinner easy before or after by grabbing Colonna’s Pizza—and be sure to mention Walnut Hills when you order. A portion of your purchase will go back to our school!

Then, save room for dessert! The Kona Ice truck will be at Walnut Hills from 6–7:30 p.m. during Back-to-School Night.

Our next PTCO meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 6–7:30 p.m. in the Walnut Hills Library.
