MIddlebrook Families,
What an exciting week at Middlebrook! Last Friday night, we had Zombiebrook here, and it was a huge hit! Our students came dressed in their favorite costumes, enjoyed playing games, and had a chance to make their way through the haunted house. There was plenty of excitement, laughter, and spooky fun!
Next week, we will recognize and honor our veterans on Veterans Day. We invite everyone to show their patriotic spirit by wearing red, white, and blue as we take time to recognize and thank those who have served our country.
A quick reminder: TODAY is the LAST day of our Charleston Wrap fundraiser! The fundraiser closes tonight at midnight. The class at each grade level that sells the most will earn an extra recess, so there is still time to get those final orders in! Thank you for your continued support of Middlebrook!
Enjoy the weekend!

Vision of the Graduate: Collaboration
At Middlebrook Elementary, we are proud to recognize and celebrate students who demonstrate Collaboration, one of the key skills highlighted in the Trumbull Public Schools Vision of the Graduate. Throughout our school community, we look for students who work cooperatively toward common goals, value the ideas and perspectives of others, share responsibilities, and contribute positively to a team. Whether working with classmates, supporting a peer, or participating in a group activity, we can accomplish more when we work together. We are excited to celebrate our Mountain Lions who show us the power of collaboration all year long, but especially during the month of November.
Middlebrook Attendance
Zombiebrook Fun!
What a night! As always, the Fathers Club outdid themselves with games, food and haunted hallways. There were even some newly constructed structures debuting for the first time. What a wonderful yearly tradition provided to students and families to gather and solidify friendships.
Growth Mindset Recognition
During the month of October, we recognized students who demonstrated Growth Mindset. Students showed that they can do hard things when they put their minds to it! We are so proud of their grit and determination. For the month of November, we will be highlighting the attribute of Collaboration. At home, find ways to discuss teamwork in all its forms: sports, game play, cooking and so much more!
Grade 4 News
Students in Grade 4 conducted anti-erosion experiments with their classmates. Using everyday objects, they created simulations to replicate nature's impact.

Trumbull Police and Our Community

Trumbull Police Department recently partnered with Linked, Autism Safety Project. Linked is a group that works with over 40 police departments throughout the state. It is a way for loved ones to register those with special needs in a secure system. By doing this it allows the Police Department to have a little insight on those in the household prior to responding. A notification would be added to the residence giving us quick information, whether it is as simple as "7 year old boy, nonverbal, afraid of dogs, overstimulated by flashing lights" or as in depth to detail elopement destinations and photos of the individual in case they leave the residence. When families share how best to respond to their residence it allows first responders to help in the most effective way possible without adding more chaos to the situation, whether it's for a simple fire alarm or a dog barking, it is a great resource to help facilitate a positive interaction.
Winter Concert - New date TBD
Unfortunately, we will need to reschedule our winter concert, as Mrs. Savkovic will be taking some time off. A new date will be announced once it has been determined. We hope sometime in January.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
