Deer Run Families,
We had a wonderful week at Deer Run! Our first graders celebrated the 50th Day of School with a fun and festive 50’s Day. Students dressed in their 1950s-inspired outfits to mark this exciting milestone.
Today, our students also had a great time participating in Harvest Parties. We are so grateful to our parents and PTO for helping make this day special through your support, planning, and participation.
Thank you for your continued partnership in creating joyful school experiences for our students.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming! Students will preview the fair and make wish lists the week of November 3rd-7th. The wish lists are a “just a guideline” for families and no one is obligated to purchase anything at the book fair. These same books can be found at the library or bookstore!
Students will be able to make purchases the week of November 10th-14th when they visit the library. Click here for each class’s purchase day. We accept cash, checks written to Dublin Library Association (DLA), credit card, and eWallet. Sales tax of 8% will be collected.
Check out our Book Fair website for more information, including an interactive flier, eWallet set-up, and an online store.
Additionally, families are invited to check out the book fair on Wednesday, November 5th from 4:30-7:30.
Thank you for your support!
School Field Trip - Jerome High School
All of our Deer Run students will be attending a play at Jerome High School on Tuesday, November 25. The play is titled The Wind in the Willows Young@Part. We will leave at Noon and the play will begin at 12:30 PM. Paper permission slips will be sent home with students next week.
If you child will be absent on this day, please be sure to indicate this in Infinite Campus.
Dismissal Changes
In the event of an emergency and the need to change a student's dismissal method be sure to send an email to the classroom teacher AND the attendance email (Dres_attendance@dublinschools.net). Teachers are extremely busy during the school day, therefore, it is not guaranteed that the teacher would have time to review the parent email prior to dismissal. Be sure to submit changes as early as possible to increase the likelihood that the communication will be received by our school team prior to dismissal.
Student Car Drop Off and Pick Up
As a reminder, car drop off and pick up for all students should take place at the back door of the school. Last school year, students were being dropped off at Grizzell, in the school parking lot, and in the neighborhood adjacent to the school. We want to ensure that all of our students are safely dropped off at school, therefore only the backdoor area should be used. Also, we also want to be considerate of our neighbors that live in the homes adjacent to the school. Therefore, adhering to this guidelines is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
