Capitol Hill Weekly Update
4/2/26
Message from the Principal
Dear Capitol Hill Community,
Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you had a restful, joyful, and rejuvenating week with your families.
It has been such a joy to see students back in the building—excited to see one another, ready to learn, and quickly re-engaging in classroom routines. We are already seeing so much growth in our students, and it’s been wonderful to watch them participate thoughtfully in our Expectations Rotations, helping to set a strong tone for the weeks ahead.
I want to extend a special note of gratitude to our incredible custodial team—Christopher Finch Contreras, Patrick Matteo, and Morgan Ward—for the care they took in getting our school looking spiffy and ready for students. From polished floors to refreshed spaces, their work helped create a welcoming environment for everyone to return to.
We’re looking forward to a strong and joyful stretch of learning together this spring.
In service to students,
Febe Armendariz
Principal

Connect to Kindergarten Event
We are hosting our second Connect to Kindergarten Event on Tuesday April 7 from 4-5 PM at the school. This is a great opportunity to bring your incoming kinder to Capitol Hill to visit the classrooms, meet the teachers and learn more about our school.
If you have any questions about registering please reach out to Melissa.
Yearbook Request
The yearbook committee would like to create a page dedicated to families displaying the CHE yard signs in their front yards. Families can choose to photograph just the signs, or have their kids and/or entire families in the photograph along with the sign (the sign MUST be present).
Photographs can be placed in the shared Google file here: bit.ly/3NdXrMm.
Deadline for photos to be stored in the folder is May 1.
