A Message From the Principal
Dear Bobier Families,
We are just four school days away from the end of the 2025–2026 school year, and what a meaningful and joyful final stretch it has been.
This week, we had the privilege of celebrating one of our most significant academic milestones during a special recognition evening. We honored students who have been reclassified from “English Language Learner” to “Fluent English Proficient.” These students have demonstrated tremendous dedication—mastering grade-level academic content while also developing their English language skills. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, persistence, and achievement.
Our students also continued learning through hands-on, experiential opportunities this week. Several classes enjoyed field trips to the San Diego Safari Park, and our 5th grade students participated in an engaging presentation from History Brought to Life. In addition, our fifth graders gave a special preview performance at Friday Flag, singing and incorporating sign language as they prepare for their upcoming promotion ceremony.
As we close out the school year, we want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude on our two years at the Beaumont campus. We are thankful for the support of our community during this temporary transition. At the same time, we are filled with excitement as we look ahead to returning to our brand new, newly reconstructed Bobier campus. Each day, hundreds of workers are on site finalizing the facility, assembling new furniture, and preparing every space for our return this summer. As we prepare for our first day on August 12th, families will have opportunities to see and experience our beautiful new campus.
Our school office will officially open at the new campus beginning August 4th.
We are also looking forward to our annual “Bronco Days,” which will take place on August 6, 7, and 10. It is very important that every family completes this process prior to the start of the new school year, as this is when you will receive your child’s teacher assignment and important beginning-of-year information.
We are also grateful to our community partners at Toyota of Carlsbad, who will be providing each student with a backpack and school supplies on August 20th. This generous support will help ensure every student is ready for a strong start to the new school year.
Finally, our wonderful PTA is planning to provide each student with a new school T-shirt to help us start the year together in our new home with pride and unity.
Thank you for your partnership, support, and care throughout this school year. We wish you a safe, restful, and joyful summer break, and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

On Thursday evening, we celebrated 22 students at our Reclassification Ceremony. This is a significant milestone in the lives of our students at Bobier Elementary School. Reclassifying from “English Language Learners” to “Fluent English Proficient” is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
Thank you to our student speakers: Aitana, Aylin, Angel and Francisca. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to the parents and families who have supported these students throughout their journey.
Congratulations to our incredible Broncos! We are all so proud of them!Friday Flag 🚩
Friday morning, we celebrated our final Friday Flag of the school year and our last Friday Flag at the Beaumont Campus. 📖 Literacy 📚
As the school year ends, many parents ask how to keep their children learning over the summer. Here are a few simple, effective ideas you can use at home.
Read daily for 20–30 minutes. Regular reading helps keep skills strong and builds fluency.
Don’t worry if you don’t have many books at home — rereading the same book helps fluency and confidence.
Visit your local library for a wide selection of free, age-appropriate books and reading programs.
If your child’s teacher gave a list of high-frequency (sight) words, practice those for about 5 minutes each day. Knowing these words helps a child read more fluently.
If you don’t have a high frequency word list, search YouTube for “[grade level] high frequency words” to find short, kid-friendly videos and practice activities.
Wishing your family a restful and book-filled summer!
Here are a few series to get your child’s summer reading journey started:
Words are Magic! By Zaila Avant-garde, illustrated by Felicia Whaley.
If you have a newly independent reader, this book is perfect to begin reading a series.
Super Mario: Mario Time (Nintendo®) By Courney Carbone, illustrated by Random House.
Entice readers away from screens with books about their favorite on-screen characters. This activity book has games, puzzles and stickers and will have young fans ready to power down their electronics and power up their reading.
The Underdogs Catch a Cat Burglar By Kate Temple and Jol Temple, illustrated by Shiloh Gordon.
In this hilarious mystery, the Underdogs investigate a string of burglaries by a sly cat burglar. To catch the burglar, they do the unthinkable and bring on a brand new detective - a cat! This is perfect for anyone who loves cats and dogs!
Dragons in a Bag By Zetta Elliott, illustrated by Geneva B.
Jaxon spends the day with an elderly lady that his mom calls “ma.” Jaxon quickly learns that “ma” isn’t his grandmother - she is a witch! She needs Jax’s help in delivering baby dragons to safety in a magical world. This is a perfect page-turner for those reluctant readers!
