Dear Intermediate School Families,

We are excited to begin our new school year at Pearsall Intermediate! Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for your children, and are anxious to see our students back and ready to learn.

At Pearsall Intermediate, our vision is “Always Striving for Excellence," and we encourage every student to do their best, take pride in their learning, and discover new ways to shine.

Pearsall Intermediate School

Breakfast is served in the classroom from 7:45-8:00am.

Instruction begins promptly at 8:05.

Students are considered tardy after 8:05am

Classroom Instruction is from 8:05am-3:35pm.

Students who are tardy or leave early will not be considered for perfect attendance incentives.

• Doors will open for students at 7:30am.

• All students, except bus students, must enter through the front of the building, located at 514 E. Florida

• All students and visitors will be screened using metal detectors.

• Backpacks

• All student backpacks will be checked upon entry into the building.

• Only school-related items will be allowed in backpacks.
  Please ensure backpacks contain only necessary school supplies, lunch/personal snack items (if applicable), and any approved personal items. Items unrelated to instruction such as toys and electronics will not be permitted.

• Cell Phones

• All student cell phones will be collected upon entry to the building and housed in a secure area.

• Cell phones will be returned to students at the end of day.

*Parents will be allowed to walk students to their classrooms on the first day. After the first day, we will follow regular arrival procedures.

3rd Grade students will be dismissed in front of the building.

4th Grade students will be dismissed from the sidewalk near the street.

5th Grade students will be dismissed in back of the school off Margo Drive. Please follow the route through the home side parking lot. Only buses will be allowed through the bus loop.

*If you have children in more than one grade level, older siblings can be dismissed with younger siblings. Please make arrangements with your children's teachers before noon on Tuesday.

Note: We will not be able to make dismissal change accommodations after 2:30pm.
