Message from the Principal Message from the Principal

Welcome back Eagles! As we ring in all the joy and celebration that December brings, we’re excited to honor the many traditions represented in our school community.

While we embrace the spirit of the season, we also want to keep our students grounded and focused as we approach the middle-of-year assessments taking place right after Winter break, which makes every single instructional day so valuable. There's only 15 days of school in December. If your child is healthy, please make sure they are in school.

Thank you for your partnership in helping students enjoy the festivities while staying committed to their learning during this important time.

iReady iReady

Our students will be taking the i-Ready Middle of the Year assessment during the first week of February. Although that may seem a couple of months away, there are quite a few days off from school due to upcoming holidays. We want to ensure we maintain momentum and that students continue using i-Ready as a learning tool in both reading and math.

Teachers are consistently assigning lessons, so please make sure students are completing those tasks with 80% proficiency or higher this month. We have increased the proficiency expectation from 75% to help keep students motivated.

On Monday, we will recognize all students who successfully completed the November i-Ready Challenge. Last month’s goal was for students to complete four lessons each week, two in reading and two in math, with a passing score of 75% or higher. Congratulations to everyone who met that challenge!

We will also be launching our December i-Ready Challenge on Monday. This month, we’re ready for some donut fun! Any class that fills its donut grid will earn a class donut party. Each time a student completes an i-Ready lesson in December with a score of 80% or higher, they will add their initials to a box on the class donut chart. Students will work together as a class to fill the grid and earn their sweet reward.
