Returning Student Verification and Proof of Residency

Who's New and What's New at Cherry Park for Next Year? (Part 3)

I hope you are enjoying time with your family this summer. Here are a few quick updates for you to know as we plan for this fall. 1. Marty Motz--Mrs. Motz will be one of our new receptionists in our main office. Mrs. Motz has taught at Richmond Drive for many years and is ready to make a shift from the classroom to the office. She brings a wealth of experience and you will enjoy getting to meet her when you come to the school. She will be at the front desk with our other receptionist (who has not been hired yet.) 2. Caroline Brouillet--Ms. Brouillet should be a familiar name and face to you. She has been our Kindergarten French Assistant for the past two years. She is now eligible to teach with us and will be our First Grade French Teacher in place of Mrs. Rayhill who is staying home with her new baby. We are blessed that she already knows our school (and our students) and will work hard to transition to her new teaching position. (As a result, we are now looking for a bilingual French assistant.) 3. Returning Student Verification and Proof of Residency--Please verify your student will be returning to our school next year by completing the returning student verification. You should have received an email from Rock Hill Schools on or around May 8th with your student's login information. It may be in your spam folder. If you have not received this email, please reach out to Janelle Miskelly (jmiskelly@rhmail.org) for assistance. Additionally, all returning students will need to provide a Proof of Residency in the form of a current utility bill (electric or gas) or a lease agreement. Those can be emailed to Janelle Miskelly at jmiskelly@rhmail.org. Returning student enrollment will not be considered complete until that POR is submitted. All Rock Hill School families (who had students in the district last year) will need to update your child's verification and provide a Proof of Residency. New Kindergarten Families have already completed this process. The easiest time to take care of this is during the summer. 4. Open Positions--This week, we are interviewing for four positions we have open. We are looking for a Receptionist who will be on a 185 day contract. It is extremely helpful if this person is bilingual (or trilingual.) We will also hire a new French Kindergarten Assistant since Ms. Brouillet is shifting to first grade. We have a .5 Related Arts certified position open. This is in place of Mrs. Banning who taught K, 1st and 2nd graders in our Language and Culture class. (Mrs. Banning moved to Arizona.) These classes are taught in the Media Center from 11:00-2:10 and focus on integrating the arts with culture. We are also looking for a Cafeteria Monitor. If you know someone interested, please have them contact me. Thanks for all you do to support your child and our school. Have fun celebrating Independence Day this week. We will see you soon.

Strength and Blessings,

Mr. Maness
