Principal Weekly Update to Families
For the Week of April 28th - May 2nd
Brief Message From the Principal
Dear JES Community,
What a week it has been here at JES! We are incredibly proud to share that our 3rd–6th grade students have officially completed their Kansas state assessments. These assessments are a big part of our year, and we’re so proud of the focus and effort our students and staff put in to finish strong!
We also made JES history this week by hosting our very first Field Day—and it was a hit! From relay races to outdoor games, the laughter and smiles were nonstop. It was a great way to celebrate hard work, have fun together, and enjoy the beautiful spring weather.
Looking ahead to next week, we will begin our final round of Fastbridge Benchmark Assessments for all students in grades K–6. These assessments help us measure individual growth in both reading and math as we wrap up the school year. The data we collect will guide how we continue supporting every student’s progress and learning goals.
With just a few weeks left, we’re soaking up every moment and looking forward to a strong finish to an already amazing school year. Thanks for being such an important part of the Jayhawk Elementary family!
