Attention, 8th Grade Parents!

We're bringing several area high schools to CCA! We've scheduled presentations for our 8th graders to learn about different high schools and how to apply (if necessary).

Please complete the High School Visits 25/26 survey to let us know which presentations your student would like to attend. This is a great chance for them to explore their options!

8th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City 8th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City

The 8th-grade trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City is more than just a class trip; it's a dynamic, hands-on extension of the classroom. This five-day excursion, scheduled for Friday, May 15, to Tuesday, May 19, 2026, offers students a unique opportunity to see history and civics come alive. By visiting key national landmarks and cultural institutions, students can connect what they're learning this year to the real world.

To help families understand the full scope of this valuable trip, CCA is hosting an information meeting on Tuesday, September 30, at 5:00 p.m. This meeting will cover details like the price, itinerary, logistics, and how the trip aligns with the 8th-grade curriculum. The meeting will be held in person in the CCA Library and can also be attended virtually via a link on the Master Calendar. We encourage all 8th grade families to attend!
