Week of October 27th
Principal Message
Irving Families -
Thank you to all the families who joined us for Trunk or Treat!
What a great day we had! We’re so grateful to all the families who decorated their cars, handed out treats, and showed such generosity. A huge shoutout to our PTO for organizing another incredible event—it was a huge success!
Halloween Fun – This Friday!
Arguably the biggest elementary school holiday takes place this Friday—Halloween! We can’t wait to see all of our Eagles decked out in their costumes. Please check out the flyer below for more details about the day’s schedule and guidelines.
Veterans Day Assembly – Afternoon of November 11
We will hold our annual Veterans Day assembly on Tuesday, November 11th, a cherished tradition that allows us to honor and thank those who have served our country. We are inviting veterans with family connections to Irving. If your student has a family member who is a veteran and would like to be recognized, please take a moment to complete THIS FORM and let us know. Your participation enriches our celebration and helps our students develop a deeper understanding of this important day.
Día de los Muertos Ofrenda
Irving is proudly acknowledging Día de los Muertos by collectively creating an ofrenda as a community. Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a special celebration that honors loved ones who have passed away—a time for both remembrance and joy. We invite our staff and families to participate by bringing in photographs of their deceased family members. If you wish to contribute, please let your child’s teacher know and send the photos to school with your student. Kindly write your name and classroom on the back of any photos you submit.
Mr. Stachura
Apparently, some principal out there really needed some recognition—because now we’ve got Principal Appreciation Month, Week, and Day! 😄
Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes and gifts during Principal Appreciation. The greatest gift is being here at Irving and getting to lead and support our amazing students, staff, and families every day.
Irving Eagles Soar: Student Spotlight
In celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Mr. Boland (June’s dad from KW) joined us to share a story and teach us about the Tlingit Tribe — their values, traditions, and even how to say “thank you” in Tlingit!
Santiago in Mrs. Epich’s class practicing his letter sounds with Mrs. Corona!
Bennet and Mariano enjoying some shoulder reading time together in 1S.
