Although it seems summer flew by, I have been so excited to start this school year! Mission Valley is, in my opinion, the best school around. Our staff is here because they love to serve our students through teaching, cleaning, cooking, transporting, and more. I could not be more proud of our staff’s desire to make each day a good day for your student. Our community supports our staff and students in many ways, whether it’s providing supplies, serving homemade ice cream during our staff back to school dinner, or with kind and encouraging words.

Thank you for trusting us with your children. I know the kids you share with us mean the world to you. This is not a gift I take lightly. If there is anything I can do to make you and your family feel better about this partnership, please do not hesitate to reach out.

On the second day of school, all students learned/reviewed our school expectations to

• Be Safe

As much as possible, staff follows our Behavior Flow Chart to determine when a behavior is classroom managed or admin managed. If you have any question about this process, please reach out to your child's teacher.

*Reminder - If an elementary student is staying after school for a sporting event, they need to be with an adult at 3:30 pm vs being with a sibling or waiting for an adult.

After School Events
PK-6 students are not allowed to stay after school without adult supervision.

Notify the office by 9 am. If we don't hear from you, we will reach out.

• 3rd-6th graders may purchase EXTRA entree at lunch IF they have money in their meal account.
• If you do NOT want your child to eat breakfast or have "extras" at lunch, please notify the office.
