VALUE OF THE MONTH
Dear SGB Families,
Please read the info in this newsletter as it will help prepare you and your child/children for our week ahead.

👍 Please take a moment to read this when you have more time:
Dear SGB Families,
In yesterday’s Gospel, Jesus is asked which commandment is the greatest. He answers that we must love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and then adds: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” By placing these commandments together, Jesus teaches us that loving God is connected to how we treat one another. For our children, that can mean welcoming a classmate who feels left out, being patient with a sibling, or considering someone else’s feelings during a disagreement.
As adults, we have those same opportunities every day. This week, let’s help our children put Jesus’ words into practice by asking: “Am I treating this person with the kindness I would want for myself?”
WINTER UNIFORM
SGB will officially switch to our WINTER UNIFORMS on November 2. Students may begin wearing them now if they wish due to the current temperatures. All students are expected to be in full Winter Uniforms from November 2 on. Please see below for info.

🍼 OCTOBER'S VALUE: Respect for All Life
Due FRIDAY, 10/30
Our Catholic faith teaches us that every person is created in God’s image and deserves dignity, love, and care. This October, SGB students will put our value of the month, Respect for All Life, into action through a diaper drive benefiting BIRTHRIGHT. By helping provide an everyday essential for babies, we can support families and answer Jesus’ call to love and serve one another.
Unopened packages of diapers will be collected throughout October. The class that collects the most diapers will receive a DRESS DOWN DAY and a NO HOMEWORK PASS!

Thinking Pink for Señora Rosa
Thank you to everyone who supported our Spanish teacher, Senora Rosa, as she continues her treatments. We are appreciative of all the support our SGB School Community showed last Friday in a sea of pink!
We continue to keep her in our prayer!
Have a great week!
God bless,
Ms. Clarke
