A Note from the Dean A Note from the Dean

Hello Pioneers!

Reflecting on last week, I am so inspired by the active learning taking place across our school!

From watching math students confidently solve linear inequalities to seeing our science classes immersed in the wonders of the Solar System, student engagement was at an all-time high. History students engaged in critical thinking as they analyzed historical artifacts, and English classes tackled rigorous research projects focused on inspiring figures. Beyond visiting classrooms and experiencing the great work in my own PRI group, it was a joy to witness the dedication of our teachers and students firsthand. I'm looking forward to another week of visiting classrooms and celebrating learning.

We also had several after school activities happening! The intramural football had a practice this week and our first Soccer Academy practice on Friday. We're working to get other after school activities started soon!

This upcoming week we will have our first session of Advisory clubs. These exciting clubs will be held during the day on Friday during our regular Advisory time. All students have selected a group, so be sure to ask them what club they joined.

I have also scheduled a field trip for December 1st to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly! We will visit from 10-12 and I am seeking chaperones for this trip. Please complete this volunteer application form and return it back to school. If you need a paper copy sent home, please email me directly.

Thank you for being a partner in your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out!
