SPEHS Parent/Caregiver Sunday Call

Welcome back, families, community, and scholars of SPEHS! Over the break, I hope everyone was able to rest, recharge, and revitalize. As Women's History Month draws to a close and March approaches its end, we would like to take a moment to honor the many outstanding contributions made by women to our society. I also want to offer a peaceful and joyful Easter holiday to all the families who observe it.

At SPEHS, April is a busy month as we observe Military Children's Month, Hmong Heritage Month, and Autism. We will have scholars this month who will provide daily statements about these observances. Our ninth and tenth graders will take the PreAct secured test on April 9. On this particular day, neither juniors nor seniors should be present. Finally, grades will be accessible in Infinite Campus on Friday, April 5th, following the third quarter's conclusion on April 2nd.

Attention Senior! Cap and Gown pick up is on Wednesday, April 3rd during lunch. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Ms. Morris or Ms. Dominguez.

A representative from Madison College will be visiting on the following dates in Student Services from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

• Thursday, April 4th, 2024

A representative from Ripon College will be here on Tuesday, March 19th during 4th Block and from UW-Whitewater on Wednesday, April 3rd during Block 1. Lastly, a representative from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee will be here on Thursday, Aprile 18th during 4th Block. If interested in meeting with any representative, please pick up a pass in Student Services.

Senior students who will be attending a Wisconsin University or Wisconsin Technical College are invited to apply for the Anonymous Scholarship. Applications are due by 11:59 pm on April 3rd. This scholarship requires a letter of support from a teacher, counselor or administrator.

April 22nd is Madison College Acceptance Day! Acceptance Day will be held in the LMC from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. A representative from Madison College will be there to help with Fall registration. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.

On April 9th, 9th and 10th graders are taking the PreAct Secured testing. We would like to provide breakfast and a snack for our scholars. Here is the link to donate. Thank you in advance for your assistance. If you have questions about testing, please reach out to Ms. Walter.

After-school tutoring, called 5th Hour, runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the LMC after school from 3:50-4:40 p.m. An after-school activity bus will be available at 4:45 pm out door 16 and is available for those that have a bus tag. Please feel free to join if you are looking for a quiet place to study or assistance with any academics. Please note: There is no 5th hour on April 9th due to testing.
