The Serene Scoop

Friday, Oct. 16, 2020

Message From the Principal:

Good afternoon,

Learning happens every day at our school. An important skill for learning is focusing attention. When we focus our attention we use our ears, our eyes, and our brain! This week, our students will put on their attent-o-scopes and notice how they help us listen and learn. Please tell your child’s teacher if you’d like more suggestions about supporting skills for learning at home.

I hope everyone has a super weekend & enjoys the cooler temps!

Thank you,

Keegan Luedecke

Principal

Attendance on Report Cards

Report cards are going to be available for parents today. You are going to see a column in Attendance at the bottom of the report card that shows "Other". This is caused by the set up in Skyward due to TEA's requirement of reporting both In Person and Remote students. "Other" does not equal Absent. Parents only need to be concerned about Excused and Unexcused absences.

Car Rider Line for Arrival and Dismissal

The lines are running smoother and smoother every day. Please remember for both arrival and dismissal, to please pull as far up as you can before dropping your student(s) off or picking them up. This will have traffic to flow more smoothly and the line to go faster overall. It will also help our line not block to main roads around our school.

Message from Ms. Lei:

We no longer use School Dismissal Manager. We use the Smart Tag parent portal for dismissal now. You can also use it to inform us if your student will be absent or if you need to change dismissal on any particular day.

P.S. I love Kit-Kats. A lot.
