Middleton Update
April 3, 2025
Dear Middleton Families,
I hope spring break was restful and fun, including your bonus day on Monday! Have you ever wondered what teachers do on professional development days when we don't have students? This past Monday, all of our elementary teachers started the day at Hawks View to review Oregon's SEL (Social Emotional Learning) standards and make plans for incorporating these into our learning this trimester. After that, teachers met in grade-level and content teams to collaborate and plan together. Grade level teachers focused specifically on implementing our new reading curriculum. Our staff ended the day together at Middleton reviewing our district's strategic plan and learning more about promoting student engagement. We VALUE this time of learning and collaboration.
Below you will find information on our annual parent/caregiver survey. Please take 10-15 minutes to complete this survey. This gives our school and district valuable information to set goals and make improvements and we value your input. THANK YOU in advance for filling this out.
With gratitude,
Natasha
Parent/Caregiver Survey
As part of our commitment to providing an excellent education for your children, Sherwood School District is conducting a survey in partnership with Studer Education. Your feedback will help us determine what is working well and any areas that may need improvement.
The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete. We encourage you to complete it in one sitting, as your responses will be saved once you click submit. The survey will ask you to select your childβs school, and you can complete a separate survey for each of the schools your children attend.
The Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey can be accessed HERE between April 1st and 22nd.
To maintain confidentiality of the Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey, our partners at Studer Education will be administering the survey, managing the data collection, and aggregating the data to provide results reports to leaders. Thank you for your commitment to our success!
Save the Date: Middleton Carnival
This year's Middleton Elementary Carnival is on Friday May 16th from 4-7pm. Mark your calendars! This will be a cashless event inside the school building. All punch cards, food tickets, and raffle tickets must be purchased at one of our pre-sale events (dates TBD) or at the door. You will be able to purchase these items during the whole event, we just won't accept cash or card at the food tables this year.
This is a family friendly event, so bring everyone! We'll have hot dogs, drinks, chips, and cotton candy for sale. Kona Ice and Hutch & Lucky's will also be there and will accept cash or card at their food trucks.
We are also seeking in-kind donations for our silent auction. Please email our hospitality team at hospitality@middletonpac.org with any questions or donation items!
Stay tuned for more details as the event gets closer. We can't wait to see you there!
