Greetings Dudley Elementary School Families,

Happy Friday, and welcome to the weekend. I hope you are outside in this beautiful weather as we continue to enjoy all the best of summer in New England.

We are so excited to welcome the students back to school in a few weeks. Being a Dudley El Top Dog is very special, and we have many important Top Tog traditions. Teacher Assignments for the 2026-2027 School Year

Teacher assignments for the 2026-2027 are live on our Student Information System SchoolBrains on August 14th. SchoolBrains can be accessed through our district website. Please contact me directly if you need any assistance.

2026-2027 DCRSD Calendar

Here is the DCRSD Calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking forward to the first day of school for the Dudley El Top Dogs on Tuesday, September 1st.

Back to School Ice Cream Social

We are planning a Back to School Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 20th from 4:00-6:00 in the recess yard. This will be a great opportunity to gather as a school community before the new year begins. Please join us if you can!

Open House & Chalk the Walk Event

Please join us for Dudley Elementary School’s Open House on Monday, August 31st from 3:30-4:30. Come meet our amazing staff, and check out our learning spaces before the first day of school on Tuesday, September 1st. The children will be able to “chalk the walk” on our front sidewalk with art and welcome messages as we gear up for day one.

Elementary School Student Handbook

Here is our Elementary School Student Handbook for the 2026-2027 school year. It contains important district-wide policies and procedures. Please review it to set your family up for a successful year.

School Supplies Lists

Here are School Supplies Lists for the new school year. Please note that purchasing all supplies are optional. The school will make sure that all children have the necessary supplies for a successful school year.

School Council

The DES School Council will meet quarterly this school year. Please email Mr. Audette if you are interested in serving on the School Site Council. School Council is a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents/ caregivers, teachers, and community members. There are four major areas of responsibility for School Councils. They are to assist principals in:

• Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards.

• Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school.

• Reviewing the annual school building budget.

• Formulating a school improvement plan.

Champions Before & After School Care

Registration is now open for before and after school care for the 2026-2027 school year with Champions.
