Class assignments available Friday, August 2nd
Class assignments will be available in myDSD beginning the afternoon of Friday, August 2nd.
An educational concerns form was made available to parents toward the end of last year to provide an opportunity to give insight into any unique needs of their student. That information was used in conjunction with teacher recommendations, academic, behavior, special education, and English as a second language needs to create balanced classes.
At this point, class lists are set, and we kindly ask for your understanding and support in helping your student get excited for a new year with a new teacher and a great opportunity to make new friends!
Back-to-school night, August 14th
Please join us for our back-to-school night Wednesday, August 14th from 4:00-5:30pm. This will be open house style giving you time to walk the school and meet with each of your teachers in an informal setting. Our amazing PTA will also be there with information on how you can be a part of the awesome Mountain View volunteer team. They will also have information about t-shirt sales!
We can't wait to see you!
Drop off on the first day of school
Students will be welcome to enter the building that morning beginning at 8:30am through the front doors. Parents are invited to join their students including walking with them to their class. Teachers will meet students at the door of their classroom this first morning. We will have music, some opportunities for first day pictures, and a lot of smiles! We will make an announcement at 8:55am thanking parents for joining us and asking that they head out so we can get the day started.
Beginning Friday, August 16th, students will line up at their assigned space outside the school.

Special Education TA

ESL (English as a Second Language) Tutor
- 17.5 hours per week (30 min lunch) / $15.95 per hour
- Open until filled
- Under the general supervision of the Director of Bi-lingual Education and in coordination with the classroom teacher, the ESL Tutor instructs students from bi-lingual homes, helping them with basic academic skills and with class assignments.
