🎬 NHE Families!

What an incredible first week of school at Nottingham! Our Knights have had a successful start, and it has been wonderful to see students settling into their classrooms, learning routines, reconnecting with friends, and adjusting so well to the new school year.

Ms. Medrano and I had the opportunity to meet with each grade level last week to personally welcome our students back and reinforce what it means to be a Nottingham Knight. We challenged every student to live out our 3 R’s each day:

  • ⭐ Be Respectful

  • ⭐ Be Responsible

  • ⭐ Be Ready

We are proud of the positive energy across our campus and look forward to continuing to build a strong culture of learning, leadership, and Knight Pride!

🏆 Nottingham Earned an “A” Rating!

We are extremely proud to share that NHE has earned an A rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for 2026.

Even more exciting, Nottingham earned 5 out of 6 Distinction Designations, recognizing exceptional performance in:

  • 📚 Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts

  • ➗ Academic Achievement in Mathematics

  • 📈 Top 25%: Comparative Academic Growth

  • 🎓 Postsecondary Readiness

  • 🌟 Top 25%: Comparative Closing the Gaps

Our students demonstrated wonderful academic gains, and this achievement reflects our continued educational push for excellence, strong instruction, high expectations, and commitment to ensuring every student grows and succeeds.

This accomplishment belongs to our entire Nottingham community. Thank you to our outstanding teachers and staff for their dedication and commitment to our students. Thank you to our parents and families for your partnership and support. Thank you to our students for working hard, rising to expectations, and giving their best. And thank you to our PTA and community partners for continually investing in Nottingham.

We are proud of what we have accomplished together, but we are also excited about where we are headed. We look forward to another exceptional school year filled with academic excellence, student growth, and continued success!

NHE PTA Watch D.O.G.S. Volunteers - August 26, 2026

It's raining men! WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads of Great Students) is a nationally recognized family and community engagement program that brings positive male role models onto campus to support students and help promote a safe, welcoming school environment. Mark your calendars! Sign-ups for WATCH D.O.G.S. will open at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 for the fall semester only.

Because this is one of NHE's most popular volunteer opportunities, each male role model may volunteer one time during the school year in an effort to keep the availability fair and equitable for all families. If you volunteer in the fall as a Watch D.O.G.S., you will not be eligible to volunteer again in the spring. A second opportunity to sign-up will be offered in January for the spring semester for those who have not yet served! Additional volunteer opportunities, such as lunch, recess, the Art Room, and more, are available to all parents and guardians, and provide a wonderful way to engage with your student and our school community!
