Picture Re-Take Day is Coming: Tuesday, October 20th

If your student took photos on September 30th they will not need to re-take photos this upcoming Tuesday.

If you did not order pictures on-line prior to photo day, information will be coming home with your student with instructions on how to order. If you have any questions please let the office know.

Decorate a pumpkin to look like one of your favorite book

characters, and bring it to school to plant in our

Storybook Pumpkin Patch!

**PLEASE… NO CARVED OR CUT PUMPKINS!**

Bring your pumpkin and the completed page to school Tuesday, Oct. 20 during morning drop off! Flyers were sent home last week... Look for the bright orange paper! Take your pumpkin at the end of the day on Friday, Oct 30. Pumpkins left will be placed outside in the front flower beds for all to enjoy or for you to pick up at your convenience.

We know that Pickerington shows up BIG when our community needs us!

The Pickerington Food Pantry has shared that dry breakfast items are one of their highest-need items each week. We’d love your help filling their shelves and supporting families in our community.

Some great items to donate include:

• 🥣 Cereal
• 🥄 Oatmeal
• 🍫 Granola bars
• 🍓 Breakfast bars
• And other non-perishable, dry breakfast foods

Our elementary schools have decided to make a friendly competition and see which school can collect the most donations and be crowned the BEST in Pickerington! 🏆

Bring in the breakfast items, rally your classmates, and let’s show the other elementaries what we can do! Most importantly, every donation makes a difference and helps support families right here in our community.

On October 16th, we encourage everyone to wear a shirt or jersey representing their favorite sports team. Whether they’re a Tiger, Panther, Buckeye, or simply proud supporters of the Pickerington community. Let’s come together to celebrate National Sports Day with pride and unity!

Every Student and Staff member who participates will receive a special Stay in the Game! sticker to wear or decorate their favorite electronic device.

National Sports Day is a time for students, families, fans, and athletes to come together and celebrate the sports they love. It is more than just honoring athletic events — it is about recognizing the valuable lessons and lifelong benefits that come from healthy competition.

Let’s make it a day full of school spirit, team pride, and positive energy!

Red Ribbon week is October 26th-30th. Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign that encourages students, families, and communities to live healthy, safe, and drug-free lives. During this week, our school will participate in fun activities and discussions to help students understand the importance of making positive choices, taking care of their bodies and minds, and surrounding themselves with supportive people.

Through classroom activities, school spirit days, and conversations about healthy decision-making, students will learn that the choices they make can help them grow, stay safe, and reach their goals.

Families play an important role in helping children develop these skills! We encourage you to continue the conversation at home by talking about healthy habits, making safe choices, and asking trusted adults for help when needed.
