HHS Choir Monthly Updates

October is definitely a busy month for the Choir program as we have two concerts. After that we head right into preparation for the 2026 Choir Cabaret. Make sure to give the October Newsletter a thorough read to make sure you're caught up with all that's happening in the HHS Choir Program.

Members of Bella Voce & Chamber Choir will meet at BBHHS (6380 Mill Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147) on Friday October 9th from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM for a combined rehearsal of Illuminare. Students are responsible for providing or getting transportation to and from BBHHS. All students must return a transportation waiver to Mr. Moore before 10/9, regardless of whether you are driving or being driven.

Please make sure these dates are on your calendars!

All concerts are graded, summative events for choir students. If there are conflicts, they need to be discussed as soon as possible. This will allow us to try and find a way for students to be able to do both, however, if that's not the case, students must make it to the concert.

Thank you to all of our parents and students that have signed up to volunteer this fall sports season! As a reminder, concessions is a partnership between the HHS Music Association and Athletic Boosters, and each music program receives concessions funds for each parent volunteer with all funds directly benefiting our students. If you are out and about and can request a donation from your favorite business(es), we would definitely appreciate your help! We have attached a flyer that may be given to the businesses. If you do leave a flyer, please let our Choir VP Kim Murphy know so we do not leave them one as well.

Tickets for the Cabaret will go on sale October 4th so please check our website and social media for the ticket link to get your tickets!

We're still looking for a point person to help us organize and fundraise for Phase 2 of the Harmony Project. Our work is far from done, and we can use all the help we can get. Learn more about Phase 2 below

The best way for a vocalist to progress is by taking consistent voice lessons. If you would like to start taking voice lessons, please use this link to help you get started

Did you know that you can earn a Varsity Letter in Choir? Taking voice lessons is just one of the ways students can earn points to letter. Take a look at this attached document regarding what it means to letter in Choir and how you can earn one.

If you or someone you know is in the market for a new mattress, please be sure to save the date for the second annual HHSMA mattress fundraiser at Hudson Middle School on November 21st.

The second monthly meeting of the Hudson High School Music Association (HHSMA) will be held on Tuesday, October 20th in the HHS Choir Room at 7pm. We will have several Music Association Board positions opening this year as parents of seniors graduate out of their roles. These include Publicity, Webmaster & E-Payments Coordinator, and Policy. If you are interested in learning more about these positions or what is involved in the HHSMA, you are welcome to join any of the monthly meetings.
