High School Performance of 'Radium Girls' Receives Glowing Review
A quote from the review states "Producing a play like Radium Girls is no small feat, especially at the high school level. The themes are heavy, the history is complex, and the emotional demands are significant. Yet, North Little Rock High School Theatre Department embraces the challenge wholeheartedly, delivering a production that is both educational and deeply moving. I was invested through the whole show."
Congratulations to our talented Theatre Arts Department!
Pike View's Build a Beehive Event
Pike View Early Childhood Center will be hosting an event for parents and families to visit and observe the construction of the students first honey bee hive. This event will also provide an opportunity for families to learn about the importance and benefits of bees in our environment. The event is in partnership with NLR Neighborhood Services and will be held Wednesday, April 22 from 9:00 am to 11 am.
The Build a Beehive program provides Pre-K students with hands-on science learning where children explore pollination, plant growth, and insect behavior through direct observation. This experience establishes a strong STEM foundation by introducing young learners to biology, ecology, and environmental science concepts in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Through their interactions with bees, kids develop a deeper understanding of ecosystems and learn how bees and plants work together in nature, setting the stage for lifelong environmental awareness.
NLR Academy Prepares the Dunk Tank for ATLAS Score Growth
North Little Rock Academy kicked off testing season with an ATLAS Pep Rally to get students energized, focused, and ready to show what they know! It was announced that students who show growth on their exams will get the chance to dunk Mr. Williams at a celebratory cookout on Friday, May 8.
Students can earn dunk tickets by being on time to school, protecting the testing environment (staying focused and limiting disruptions), taking their time and giving their best effort, showing focus, growth, and determination, and coming prepared and ready to succeed each day.
Join us as we wish our students the best on their ATLAS tests.
