Spring Updates Spring Updates

We've continued the fun throughout the past few months!

Corron's Got Talent was a another big success! We saw so many amazing performances by our amazingly talented students. And even had a special appearance by some of our Coyote Staff! A huge shout out to Jim and Meg Cummins, our Committee Chairs for the event, and all of their volunteers for making this night happen.

We had two more Dine Out Nights at Red Robin and Village Squire that brought our community together for a meal while raising some money for the PTO. Thank you to Laura Beleski for her continued efforts in getting these Dine Out fundraisers scheduled.

It's hard to imagine that we are quickly nearing the end of the 2025-2026 school year. We still have a few more things planned to wrap up the year.

- The Corron PTO Board

Corron PTO Board Elections Corron PTO Board Elections

We are excited to announce that elections for our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) Board for the 2026-2027 School Year will be held at the end of this month. This is a wonderful opportunity to become more involved in our school community, contribute your ideas, and play an active role in supporting the success of our students and staff.

As several of our current board members prepare to transition out of Corron Elementary in the coming year, we are eager to welcome new voices and perspectives. To support a smooth and successful transition, outgoing members are committed to sharing their knowledge and experiences with incoming leaders.

A general description of each board position is provided in the link below. Please note that prior experience is not required—just a willingness to collaborate, communicate, and support our school community. Whether you have a few hours a month or are looking to take on a larger leadership role, there is a place for you to make a meaningful impact.

Serving on the PTO Board is a rewarding way to connect with other families, support school initiatives, and help create enriching experiences for all students. Your involvement truly makes a difference.

As Margaret Mead famously said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” We encourage you to consider becoming part of this dedicated group and helping shape the future of our school.

Please note that the nominating process ends April 30th, at 5:00 p.m.

We are quickly approaching Teacher Appreciation Week! That week where we can show the whole staff just how much we value them and all they do for our kiddos. PTO is planning to provide a variety snacks, lunch, and we have a few other tricks up our sleeve!

We are hoping you will help support one day of the fun by donating gift cards in the $5-$10 range so that we can provide each of our 80 staff members with a little something. These can be sent to school in an envelope labeled TAW attn. Danielle Sundvall or reach out via email at dmmsundvall@gmail.com to arrange drop off/pick-up. We would love to have these by the end of April.

If you prefer to make a monetary donation that can be done via this link.

Fundraising Goals Fundraising Goals

Let's talk about fundraising and volunteering...

The goal of our PTO has always been to build a strong partnership between families, teachers, and staff to support our students’ academic success, enrich their school experience, and foster a welcoming, inclusive school community through engagement, fundraising, and volunteerism.

We have continued to host events that foster community and family involvement. We want these events to be low to no cost to our families to allow as many as possible to participate. In order to do this, we need to raise funds throughout the year. Fall Fest has always been our biggest fundraiser and typically allows us to meet our financial goals to support our budget.

While our fundraising events were well supported, overall proceeds have been lower than in previous years, which has impacted our overall budget. Rather than using funds that support programming for our students, we are shifting to charge a small fee for our extra events, like the Talent Show.

In order to continue to support our PTO's mission, we strongly encourage those of you that can to participate in those Dine Out Nights, Fundraising events, and even volunteering to help at events. Every little bit helps to make our PTO successful in supporting our students and community.

We can't do what we do without your help!
