April and May are busy months here at LMS with the state spring testing windows. It is very important to encourage your child to charge their Chromebook each night, get a good nights sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast prior to the scheduled test session.
8th Grade
PSAT 8 - April 15 - The PSAT 8 is an online format. The format of the test has changed, with both Math and the Reading portion being completed by students online through the Bluebook App. This app is already downloaded on student Chromebooks. We have had one practice session already and the final practice session will be April 8th. 8th grade students will test on April 15th.
Students were given test tickets that allow them to login to the Bluebook app at anytime and take practice tests. I encourage students to login and take some time becoming familiar with the test.

Assistant Principals Corner
Hello LMS Families,
We’re thankful to have reached spring break and hope you and your family had time to rest and recharge. As we prepare to finish the school year on a strong note, we want to remind you to check in with your students about what they are wearing before they leave home. While the weather may be getting warmer and styles may change, our dress code remains the same. Each spring, we tend to see an increase in dress code violations, and we will continue to consistently enforce this policy, along with our cell phone expectations. Our students have done well overall, and we’re hopeful that will continue through the end of the year.
Regarding cell phone use, please also encourage your student to make responsible choices during athletic events and field trips. The spring sports season often involves larger teams and outdoor settings, where students may not always be directly supervised. However, expectations for behavior and representing themselves and our school remain unchanged. We want all students to have a positive experience while making good decisions.
Additionally, please remember that students who have received two major referrals or a total of five referrals will not be eligible to attend field trips. This expectation has been clearly communicated during class meetings and should not come as a surprise.
As always, we truly appreciate your continued support. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Go Eagles!

Counselors' Corner
Career exploration is an essential part of our students’ development. Did you know that school counselors are specially trained in this area?
Throughout middle school and high school, school counselors can help students choose classes and explore educational opportunities that match their interests and goals.Students begin an Educational Development Plan (EDP) in 7th grade and continue refining it each year through their senior year. The EDP helps students track their goals, course choices, and future plans so they leave Linden prepared for college, career, or other post‑secondary pathways.
On March 27th, LMS, in collaboration with our EDP Coordinator Heather Fuller, hosted a Career Exploration Fair for all Linden Middle School students. Each child had the opportunity to rotate through seven different presentations, exposing them to a wide range of careers and career pathways. At the end, students reflected on their experience. Many students reported feeling inspired and curious about future career possibilities. We are proud of our students’ engagement and appreciative of the professionals and volunteers who made the day meaningful.
