WHAT: Join us to tour the world...all in our own Boggess Gym. Families will visit tables representing countries and cultures from around the globe and earn stamps in their passport.

WHAT: Join us for 8 weeks of Hip Hop fun! Hip Hop dance is a high energy style that focuses on rhythm and musicality and promotes physical fitness. Hip Hop combines street dance with funk and jazz commonly seen on TV and music videos. Weekly classes will consist of warm-ups, conditioning to teach strength and stamina, and fun combos to age appropriate music. Students should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes to class each week. Classes are organized by grade level and are taught by experienced staff members of Edge Dance & Performing Arts Center. Open to grades K-5.

DATES: Wednesdays, March 22-May 10

Calling all readers! Sign up now for our very first Boggess Book Club! Book Club will meet once a month after school to discuss three best-selling books that students will love. Book Club is open to third, fourth, and fifth graders, up to 30 students.

Each year, Boggess PTA awards a scholarship to a graduating senior who attended Boggess for at least two years of elementary school. The winner must be planning to attend an accredited college, university, or technical school.

Last year, PTA parents stepped up to equip our classrooms with air purifiers. Now those purifiers need new air filters to give our classrooms an extra layer of protection this winter. Our goal is to have at least two purifiers up and running in each classroom at all times.

We have two invaluable volunteers to recognize this issue: Thank you to WatchDOG Jamie Colvin for helping greet students at front carpool every Friday morning, as well as helping throughout the year with various PTA sponsored events. Give Jamie a big hello and thanks when you see him at front carpool!

And thank you to Joy Trieloff, our PTA spirit wear chair, who has put in numerous hours designing, ordering, distributing, and selling our Boggess spirit wear. Her employer recently donated $500 to Boggess PTA in appreciation of all her service hours.
