Well, our scholars have been doing quite well for the first couple of months of school; however, we need them to be able to do their BEST! Their best can't be achieved without a little assistance from our parents and guardians. Don't forget to help them do their very best by making sure that they get their rest by going to bed at an appropriate time, eating healthier meals and snacks, spending extra time studying, and arriving to school on time and prepared. All of these things, as well as a few words of encouragement each morning, will help our scholars to always do their very best! GO PATRIOTS!!
This week, our students are learning about making safe, respectful, and responsible choices as part of our October Student Success Skills theme, “Strong Choices. Strong Character.” Students will practice identifying helpful and harmful behaviors, recognizing when they should seek help from a trusted adult, and understanding how their choices can affect others. Families can support this lesson by talking with children about making good choices, showing kindness, and speaking up when they see behavior that may be unsafe or hurtful.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month at LPES! Families are invited to help us celebrate kindness and unity by having students wear BLUE for #BeKind Day on Monday, October 5, and ORANGE for Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21. We will also celebrate Red Ribbon Spirit Week from October 26–30 with activities encouraging strong choices and strong character. Together, we can teach our Patriots to be kind, include others, and speak up safely against bullying!
