Superintendent Update

Cliff's Notes
Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,
The last month of school is jampacked with culminating and transition events, including BHS graduation on June 5th and the 8th grade moving on ceremony on June 16th. Today, I had the chance to visit one of these wonderful culminating events with our new Assistant Superintendents, Marianne Vines and Kelly Williamson: Davis Town! Through the Davis Town unit, kindergarteners learn about what it means to be a community and develop understanding of the interconnectedness between businesses, programs, and community members. In the culminating project for this unit, students turn each kindergarten classroom into a functioning pretend business and have full control over what business their classroom will become. Davis Town was open for business this week (pictures from yesterday's businesses above and below). Thank you to our kindergartners for reminding us what it means to be a community as we turn our collective attention to consideration of a potential shift in school start times at the final two school committee meetings this year (May 28th and June 11th). Today is the last day to take the healthy school hours survey!
Best,
Cliff Chuang (he/him) 莊 宏 毅

We are pleased to share a new way for families to access mental health support through our existing partnership with Cartwheel Care. While students have previously been referred by school counselors, parents and guardians can now directly request services by completing a simple online form. Cartwheel provides virtual therapy with licensed clinicians and offers care that is timely, inclusive, and accessible—with no waitlists and support for all families, including those without insurance. Submit a Request for Cartwheel Services To learn more, view this flyer or reach out to your school’s counseling team.
