Hello FamiLEE,

We had a great week! Progress reports went home on Tuesday and we are busy working with students to help everyone be successful. Please reach out if you or your child need any support. We have Homecoming coming up in a little over a week and hope to see everyone come out to the game.

Our goal is to grow five more points on our state report card. We have to work together to achieve this goal. Students need to be in attendance daily. Additionally, we are working hard to deliver instruction that will make our students retain important information and be successful on the ACT. Our goal is to see all of our students grow in all areas.

Just a reminder to make sure your child is following the dress code and school expectations.

• Attention Lee HS Parents & Guardians! 1st Quarter Progress Reports Went Home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024! Every student received a paper copy in 3rd block. If you need a copy of your child's progress report or a PowerSchool login so you can view your child's grades online, please email patrick.holder@hsv-k12.org.
  
• Attention Lee High Black Student Union members! It is time to elect officers for the 2024-2025 school year. The voting will take place on Thursday September 12, during FamiLee time in the band room. If you like your voice to be heard, please make sure you are in attendance. The slate of officers have been posted in the BSU Group Me. Please see Mr. Pearson or Obi Okoro if you have any questions."
  
• Freshmen Boys Basketball Tryouts will be September 19th & 20th from 4:30-6:00pm each day. Please see Mr. Pitts in room 147 with any questions!

• Congratulations to Lee High School Sophomore Giselle Patterson! She volunteered to perform with the Alabama A&M University Bulldog Beat Musical Theatre Group today during our sophomore field trip and did an incredible job singing "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys! Immediately afterwards in a surprise turn of events, she was offered a future spot in Bulldog Beat if she decides to attend AAMU after graduation. Congratulations Giselle!
  
• Shout-out to the Girls Flag Football team for defeating Austin 32-13 on Tuesday!
