TOP STORY: Spring Musical is this Week!
Don't miss out on seeing Tuck Everlasting, this year's H-F Theatre spring musical, running at 7 p.m. April 20-22! Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster (Stella Hoyt) yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family (Bryce Stewart, Jazmin Rhodes, Steven Rogers & Trey Gerring) does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tucks' unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey. Based on best-selling children’s classic by Natalie Babbitt and adapted for the stage by Claudia Shear & Tim Federle, Tuck Everlasting features a soaring score from Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen. The H-F Theatre production will be directed by Mr. Willard-Rose in the Mall Auditorium with live score provided by H-F Music students. Tickets ($12/adult, $6/student/senior) are now on sale at: https://hfhs.ticketleap.com/tuck-everlasting/
April is Arab American Heritage Month

Friday, April 14, was an amazing day at H-F as Class of 2002 alumnus Christopher McBride, a Grammy Award-winning Jazz musician, returned to campus to inspire current music students. He spent more than an hour answering their thoughtful questions, then jammed with — and critiqued — Jazz Band students. He talked about his musical influences, how he got into the business, and gave students advice about practicing and performing. McBride said he decided to become a professional musician after meeting some of Madonna's musicians while on a H-F Music Department performance tour of Ireland and England. "Keep setting goals; don't be focused on stagnation," he told our budding musicians. He earned a Grammy Award performing saxophone on the Generation Gap Jazz Orchestra album in 2022, which due to COVID-19 was completely recorded remotely, then assembled in a studio.
