The Palm Springs Pride Parade is Sunday, November 6th. If your club is marching in the parade, you should already have received a parade contingent number.

Staff members and students are also invited to march with the PSUSD LGBTQ+ Alliance! The parade contingent number is 149 and will be marked on the street, likely near Stevens Road on Palm Canyon. Participants marching with the PSUSD LGBTQ+ Alliance are asked to arrive between 9:15 and 10:00 am.

Out and About Across the District! Out and About Across the District!

Desert Springs Middle School GSA

The DSMS GSA is making beaded bracelets to "sell" on campus... the "price" varies from the promise of one or two good deeds, an act of kindness, or outreach to a fellow student - all on the honor system. What a lovely idea! Way to go, DSMS GSA!

Rancho Mirage High School GSA R.I.S.E Club

Students at RMHS celebrated National Coming Out Day on October 11th. Check out these amazing photos!

Edward L. Wenzlaff Education Center

The GSA at Edward L. Wenzlaff Education Center has 8 students attending consistently. The club president is a gifted artist who has come up with a fun design featuring a quote by Harvey Milk that will be printed on the back of the students' t-shirts for Palm Springs Pride weekend!. The members are also responding to journal prompts during their meetings, and recently watched a film about Harvey Milk.

Cielo Vista Charter School

Cielo Vista Charter School is initiating their first Rainbow Club for 2nd-5th graders! Their first meeting will be Tuesday, November 28th.

Cabot Yerxa ES Rainbow Club

The members of the Cabot Yerxa Rainbow Club enjoyed a read-aloud called the GayBCs by M.L. Webb and discussed the meanings of the words represented by the acronym LGBTQ+. Then they made posters to hang on campus sharing what they learned with the rest of the school!

Additionally, students in 3rd-5th grade celebrated LGBTQ+ History Month in October by reading picture books centered on the stories of LGBTQ+ people, learning vocabulary, and making welcoming posters.
