Meet Your Ironia PTO Executive Board
We are very grateful to lead our amazing PTO!
June Carbery
Co-President
What’s one thing about our school community you’re especially grateful for this year?
I am extremely grateful this year that I get to spend one more year making memories with all the families of Ironia, especially the fifth grade families. We have seen the highs and the lows together over the last 5 and a half years. We did it all with ingenuity to make the seemingly impossible happen, grace when needed, sarcasm when warranted and of course, wine.
What’s a small act of kindness you’ve seen at Ironia recently that made you feel thankful?
Volunteering at the Randolph Food Pantry! When SNAP benefits were delayed, so many Ironia families quickly stepped in with donations of food and offers to organize the pantry for the Community staff. My heart was so full knowing that we have built a community that gives back here at Ironia.

Mom to Parker (grade 6) and Levi (grade 3).
What’s one thing about our school community you’re especially grateful for this year?
I am especially grateful for the new parent volunteers I have met who are contributing to our PTO over the last few years. It’s great to meet new people and hear their fresh and exciting ideas! This strong community of parents is one thing that makes our PTO so special.
What’s your must-have Thanksgiving dish — and what dish could you happily skip?
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is “TURKEY BREAD” - a yummy homemade bread shaped to look like a turkey. My mom made it with me as a child, and now I love making it with Parker and Levi each year. What I can do without- the actual turkey. I will usually eat some but I much prefer all the yummy sides and desserts that accompany it!

What’s one thing about our school community you’re especially grateful for this year?
I am especially grateful for our incredible teachers and staff who help make Ironia the supportive, connected community it is. This year, we’ve seen more teachers and staff than ever join our PTO, step into leadership roles, and volunteer their time to support our families. Their willingness to chair committees and help bring our school events to life shows just how dedicated they are to our students—not only in the classroom, but throughout the entire school experience. Their partnership truly strengthens our community, and we are so thankful for all they do.
What are you thankful for this holiday season?
I am extremely thankful for my friends and family this holiday season. Their support, love, and presence bring so much joy to my life, and I’m grateful for the time we get to spend together. I look forward to being able to host my extended family for a portion of the holiday week.

What’s one thing about our school community you’re especially grateful for this year?
I’m especially grateful for the amazing students, teachers and staff. It is such a wonderful feeling walking into school and being welcomed with genuine happiness by everyone who is there. I am also grateful for the amazing PTO. I love meeting all of the volunteers at all of our events. Looking forward to seeing all of the volunteers at the upcoming holiday shop.
What are you thankful for this holiday season?
I am very thankful for my family and friends this holiday season. I am looking forward to relaxing with my family over Thanksgiving break. I can’t wait for all of the fun holiday events in December!

What’s one thing about our school community you’re especially grateful for this year?
One thing I’m especially grateful for in our school community this year is how deeply involved and supportive our parents are. They consistently step up to volunteer, contribute their time and energy, and truly partner with us to create meaningful experiences for their children. That level of commitment not only strengthens our school community, but it also shows students that their families and their school are working together to help them thrive. It’s something I value tremendously.
What’s one tradition (Thanksgiving or otherwise) that your family loves?
One tradition our family absolutely loves is spending Thanksgiving morning in our pajamas, having a cozy picnic-style breakfast (and coffee for the parents) together while we watch the parade on TV. It’s slow, relaxed, and nostalgic. All the while, the turkey is roasting in the oven, filling the house with that amazing holiday smell. It’s simple, but it’s one of our favorite traditions of the year.
Tanya Walliser
Programs VP
Mom to Avery (Grade 3) & Dylan (Grade K).
What’s one thing about our school community you’re especially grateful for this year?
I am extremely grateful for the community of the PTO and the relationships that I have built with other families and PTO members. I truly believe in the good that the PTO does supporting our kids in the place they spend most of their time. I am grateful for the privilege to be able to support our kids, community, and staff through the PTO and thankful to have the opportunity.
What’s one tradition (Thanksgiving or otherwise) that your family loves?
I wasn’t really sure that we had a Thanksgiving tradition until Avery, my 8 year old, told me that her favorite part of Thanksgiving was waking up in the morning, mommy making cinnamon rolls, and everyone watching the parade together in our pajamas. So, I suppose, my favorite tradition is making memories without even knowing it.
Rachel Wyatt
Communications VP
Mom to Avery (grade 6) and Rowan (grade 2).
What’s one thing about our school community you’re especially grateful for this year?
I’m especially grateful for the way our school community makes every family feel welcome. When parents, students, teachers, and staff come together for events, it really feels like we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. It’s such a gift to see our kids growing up in a place filled with kindness and connection. I’m also so grateful to be part of the PTO executive board this year—it’s been such a joy to work alongside other parents to help bring our school community together.
What’s one tradition (Thanksgiving or otherwise) that your family loves?
For the past few years, we’ve taken our dog for a walk as a family on Thanksgiving morning. It is always so peaceful and quiet because a lot of other people are at home preparing Thanksgiving dinner. It gives us a chance to reflect, connect as a family and enjoy one of Randolph’s beautiful parks or trails. The past two years we’ve walked along the path at Veteran’s Park and enjoyed the Story Walk.
