Hillcrest E-TECH Newsletter
March 2025
From the Desk of Ms. Ulloa
As we continue to progress toward the final stretch of the school year, we must continue to encourage students to finish strong. Now is not the time to give up by failing to complete assignments or missing class. Testing season starts in two weeks, and every day counts. Teachers are focused on content review and stressing test-taking strategies. This is all in support of our students to help them reach their highest level of achievement. Remember, all STAAR tests, TSIA2 and AP exams are crucial for this ETECH program. STAAR EOC ENG I & II, ALG I, BIO & US HIST are required for High School graduation.
Parents, I ask that you be more diligent than ever in making sure our scholars are completing
assignments on time and attending class each day. Check PowerSchool and eCampus weekly with your child. Have conversations with your students about upcoming assignments and due dates. Do not forget to keep a check on how they are feeling. Some might be feeling a little overwhelmed,
and that is not the goal. Students feeling overwhelmed or discouraged are asked to reach out to one of our counselors or ETECH staff for support.
As always, we appreciate your partnership with us in supporting our students as they continue
to move towards earning a college degree. Please join us for our virtual parent meeting for more detailed information about testing and summer classes.
